Description

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will offer a different design than its siblings. It will likely be made of metal and glass, like the Galaxy S22 +, but it will look different. Its top and bottom sides will be completely flat, while it will offer a curved screen. This is not where the differences end, however. The rear camera setup will also be different, as Samsung took inspiration this time around from LG’s raindrop camera design. The Galaxy S22 and S22 + will follow the design language of the Galaxy S21 series.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra curved screen will be included

The “Ultra” model will also be taller than its siblings, while it will have a slightly thicker “chin” than the Galaxy S22 +. However, its screen will be less curved than that of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Thus, it will not exactly offer a large curve and will be much less curved than “Waterfall” screens. It is something that people will surely appreciate. A display camera hole will be present on the screen, and it will be centered like on the Galaxy S21 series. Samsung has chosen not to include a sub-screen camera here.

As already mentioned, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will essentially replace the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. It will be a cross between a Galaxy S and a Galaxy Note device. It is rumored to come with the S Pen and a dock for it, similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. There have even been rumors that the phone might carry the “Note” branding, but it doesn’t.

CAD and conceptual renderings

The design of the phone has leaked several times so far. The CAD-based renderings of the device were leaked some time ago. These are mostly accurate, but the rear camera setup will be different. These concepts actually do a good job of showing what the rumors and leaks have been saying.

Real images have also surfaced

In addition to all of this, actual images of the device have also surfaced. These images give us an excellent overview of the phone. You can clearly see the S Pen and the dock in the lower left corner. The display camera hole is visible, its screen curved and even the camera setup redesigned.

12 GB and 16 GB RAM variants are expected

The base model of the device will likely offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but a 16GB RAM variant will likely be released as well, at least in some markets. Samsung will also offer 512GB of storage with 12GB and 16GB RAM models. Who knows, maybe we’ll even end up getting a 1TB model. A microSD card slot won’t be present, so you won’t be able to expand that storage.

Samsung to offer 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging combo

The phone is rumored to retain the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessor. It will also support 45W fast wired charging, based on rumors. Wireless charging will also be offered, probably a 15W, and you can use reverse wireless charging to charge your TWS headphones, or something like that. Note that a charge brick will not be included in the box.
