Design

The Samsung Galaxy A52s’ design is made up of a Glass front (Gorilla Glass), a plastic back, and a plastic frame. It even brings back some finishes from what we would want to consider its predecessor. There’s a new texture underneath this time around to sets it apart and the Galaxy A-Series brings IP67 dust/water resistance (up to 1m for 30 mins) on this smartphone. Samsung A52s infinity display is a 6.5 inch Super AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution.

Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy A52s has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The ultra-wide-angle camera is quite capable of a mid-ranger. Sharpness and dynamic range are both quite good making this a significant upgrade. Portraits taken with the main camera are really good. The Samsung Galaxy A52s can record up to 4K@30fps with both the main and selfie cameras. The colors are accurate and the dynamic range is wide. Stabilization is only available when we’re recording in 1080p.

Platform

Samsung’s latest One UI 3.1 over Android 11 has been included on Galaxy A52s. Some of the new features include a dark mode for your menus and a new set of gestures for navigation. Here you swipe from the sides to go back rather than swiping from the bottom like before but the old options are still there if you want. You also have edge panels here, which can be pretty handy swiping on the edge of the screen will bring you to a customizable space for shortcuts. At the heart of the Galaxy A52s, is Samsung’s new Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, an Octa-core (4×2.4 Ghz Kryo 670 & 4×1.9 GHz Kyro 670) and an Adreno 642L GPU.
